Fluo built the mobile app and web portals that turned CyberPro2's proprietary identity verification algorithm into a working proof of concept in four weeks, and kept the demo environment live for around a year while the United States client pitched it to investors and institutions.
From brief to working proof of concept
Demo environment kept live for investor conversations
Delivered across the Atlantic, from Europe to the United States
The concept later reskinned for a United States client
A United States fintech with roots in banking, developing a proprietary way to verify identity for bank transfers and card not present payments.
CyberPro2's view of its own market was that card not present payments still let far too much fraud through, and that the identity checks meant to prevent it either miss too much or ask too much of the person paying. CyberPro2, a United States business with a banking background, had built a proprietary algorithm that verified identity for bank transfers and micropayments without resorting to anything as invasive as facial recognition. What it did not have was a way to show anyone how it worked.
Fluo built the proof of concept that made the algorithm demonstrable: a mobile app and a couple of web portals that walk through the full journey of someone buying from a merchant and then authorising that payment through CyberPro2's own verification mechanism, tested end to end on real devices.
Delivered to a very tight deadline of four weeks. Fluo sits in Europe and CyberPro2 in the United States, a gap the client raised as a concern before work started. What they fed back afterwards was how responsive the team stayed across that time difference, which says something useful about how Fluo runs remote engagements generally.
“We were working with Fluo across the Atlantic at different time zones. Fluo were always punctual with their deliveries and responsive to our comments.” Mansour, CEO, CyberPro2
A working proof of concept that CyberPro2 took to investors and institutions, with Fluo keeping the demo environment live for around a year so those conversations could keep happening. Fluo later reskinned the concept for a pilot with a United States client. It sits in the portfolio as evidence that Fluo can pick up an unfamiliar, highly technical proposition in financial services and make it demonstrable fast.
